People have been familiar with silhouette portraits for many years.  The somewhat mysterious "Shadow Cut" became associated with a French Aristocrat from the mid 18th century named Etienne De Silhouette and enjoyed popularity through the early 19th century.

With the advent of photography, silhouette artists  found less demand for their services and became a dying art. Silhouette artists were not commonly seen performing in the "modern" age.

Although there has been a resurgence in silhouette art, genuine silhouette artists who “draw with scissors” are rare. My passion is creating silhouettes in the traditional freehand manner.

I have been creating silhouettes in the traditional freehand style for years. With an attentive eye and a pair of surgical scissors I will create your likeness in a matter of minutes.
